Our Staff
Pastor David T. Smith
Pastor Smith has been pastoring Rose Park Baptist Church since March 1987. He and his wife, Micki, have been married over 30 years; their two sons, Jason and Jeremy, are both serving the Lord full time in ministry. Pastor Smith is a firm believer in the authority of God’s Word and seeks to help God’s people understand both the facts and the application of God’s truths. His desire is to see the people God has given him both knowing and doing the Word of God. As a former athlete, Pastor Smith knows the importance of training to run the race of God has placed before us, and he longs to help coach Christians as they seek God’s will in their lives. You’ll enjoy his practical preaching and enthusiasm for all that is of God.
Pastor Jim Gerber
Pastor Gerber is the newest addition to our church staff. With many years of youth work in his resume, Pastor Gerber came to Rose Park to help us reach more young couples and train our next generation of leaders. Pastor Gerber is a preacher, a teacher, a counselor, and a good man to have as our friend. He and his wife, Dolly, have two grown children who serve the Lord faithfully.
Pastor J. Smith
Pastor Jason has been youth pastor at Rose Park Baptist Church since May 1995. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three young children. Pastor Jason oversees our children and teen programs including Kids’ Zone, Voyagers Club and SALT. Most recently, Pastor Jason has felt led to provide knowledge, direction, and life application through his teaching of God’s word in the young adult CrossTraining Sunday School class. He has designed both Voyagers Club and Kids’ Zone curriculum. Athletic, organized, and wise are good descriptions of our youth pastor who wants to bring as many people as he can to the Lord Jesus.
